The Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust provide scholarships to the candidates from low-income and conflict-affected regions who want to improve their knowledge of peace and reconciliation. The Trust aims to promote education, international friendship and understanding, and the promotion of world peace and development. The Ferguson Scholarships is provided to mid-and senior-level professionals working in various peacebuilding areas who apply for the online MA course in the Convent University, United Kingdom. This is a one year degree allowing individuals who have adequate experience but no degree certificate in the sector obtain a postgraduate degree while continuing with their profession.

The students will have to participate in two residential workshops – in January and June in Conventry and Istanbul/London respectively. The first workshop is prior to the beginning of the course and the second during the mid-term. The residential workshops will provide the participants with more practice-based learning opportunity as well as intensive face-to-face training.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must belong to low-income economies and lower middle-income economies.
- Candidates must submit an academic application to Coventry University International Office first and then write their application reference number on the scholarship application as evidence.
- Non-native English speakers should provide evidence of English language skills to the level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
- Successful candidates must meet all the conditions of their offer letter by the deadline stipulated in the confirmation email otherwise the Scholarship will lapse.
