The Graduate Institute at Geneva invites applications for its Scholar-In-Residence scholarship program. Exceptional young professors from universities from developing and emerging countries are eligible for the scholarship. They should be pursuing advanced research in disciplines such as anthropology, history, law, politics and political science, and economics.
Scholars will get multiple opportunities, through the scholarship. They will be able to update and strengthen the curriculum of their course, work upon a personal research project, participate in teaching courses, interact with the international community of the Institute and Geneva.
Scholars will receive fund for covering the living expenses. The scholars will also be entitled to avail a round trip travel to and accommodation in Geneva.
The quality of the research will be the key factor in the selection process. If the quality is equal, selection may be done on the basis of promoting gender and regional diversity. Candidates should clearly show how their research stay will prove to be beneficial for their academic career and their home institution.
The last date to receive the application is March 1, 2012 for Residence in the Fall 2012, and October 1, 2012 for Residence in the Spring 2012.
