The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance invites applicants to apply for 2013 Entrepreneurship program at University of Luxembourg.
The doctoral candidate will be working within the research unit of CREA (Centre for Economic Analysis). He/she is expected to contribute to research projects in the area of entrepreneurship, the management of small and medium enterprises and family business.
The doctoral candidate‘s main task will consist of–
- Contributing to research projects within the domain of entrepreneurship.
- Preparation of a doctoral thesis in the field of Organizational culture(s) in family firm contexts, under the supervision of Professor Denise Fletcher. The thesis will be undertaken at the University of Luxembourg but could be part of a joint supervision with another university.
- Teaching activities for one to three hours per week of small group teaching and tutorials.
Eligibility–
- Hold a completed master’s degree (to the level of 240 credits) in business management, entrepreneurship or innovation (ideally with a master thesis in a related topic).
- Demonstrate an understanding of the special needs/challenges of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and/or family firms.
- Have linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in oral and written English (with IELTs 7.00, or equivalent), a good understanding of a second language and possibly a third language (French, German or Luxembourgish, in particular, will be considered an advantage).

Applications should be submitted online in English and must include the following-
- An outline research proposal (maximum 10 pages) with a brief literature review of the topic area and presentation of three research questions that can be applied to investigate the topic. (See also the supporting academic text on background and guidance for this).
- A personal motivation letter.
- A detailed curriculum vitae with list of publications and copies thereof, if applicable.
- If possible, a transcript of results of university studies.
- The name, current position, and relationship to the applicant, of one referee.
