The Oak Foundation accepts applications from organizations who is working in the field of climate/environment. Minimum grant request for projects can be USD 25,000.
The Foundation funds civil society organizations that address issues of global, social and environmental concern. The foundation has an annual grant-making budget of over USD 150 million.

- Target root causes of problems
- Are replicable either within a sector or across geographical locations
- Include plans for long-term sustainability
- Have secured co-funding
- Strive to collaborate with like-minded organizations
- Value the participation of people (including children) and communities
Eligibility criteria
- Individuals seeking scholarships or tuition assistance for undergraduate or postgraduate studies are not eligible to apply.
- Religious organizations for religious purposes, election campaigns or general fund-raising drives cannot apply.
- Except in special circumstances, the foundation does not fund initiatives under USD 25,000.
How to apply?
Oak Foundation generally accepts proposals through solicited requests made by program, yet it accepts letters of enquiry around the year. It generally takes two months to nine months from submission of an enquiry to get final approval.
