The Agropolis International Scientific Prize for Agriculture and Food invites applications from academic or research organization and public or private civil society. The prize given once every two years aims to recognize individuals or group for their exemplary contribution in innovation through research, development across countries in order to improve food and agricultural systems sustainability, as well as to reduce poverty.
The Prize recognizes individuals whose scientific works are not only important contribution to the production of knowledge but are also actively promoting the use of knowledge in addressing current development challenges. The Prize has three categories and total award amount is €20,000.

- Distinguished Scientist
- Young Promosing Scientist
- Outstanding Career in Agriculture
Eligibility Criteria
- For the Distinguished Scientist category, applicant must hold a PhD with at least 15 years of professional experience. S/he must demonstrate proven significant contribution in one or various fields covered by the Prize.
- For the Young Promosing Scientist category, applicant must hold a PhD degree with at least 5 years of professional experience.S/he should be no more than 40 years old with the potential in one or various fields covered by the Prize.
- For the Outstanding Career in Agricultural category, candidate must have at least 20 years of professional experience and s/he should be in the field of research, innovation, capacity building, development or policy in any of the fields covered by the Prize.
