The Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation is given each year to a nonprofit organization that best demonstrates Drucker’s definition of innovation: “change that creates a new dimension of performance.” The award was launched in 1991 with the generous support of the Coca-Cola Foundation. The purpose of the annual Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation is to find the innovators, whether small or large; to recognize and celebrate their example; and to inspire others.”
Past Winners
- 2013 Project RED, Boston Medical Center: Project Re-Engineered Discharge is a research group at Boston University Medical Center that develops and tests strategies to improve the hospital discharge process in a way that promotes patient safety and reduces re-hospitalization rates.
- 2012 I AM A STAR, American Refugee Committee: the I Am A Star campaign is unifying members of the Somalia Diaspora, aid workers on the ground in Mogadishu and people across the world. Eligibility Criteria
- The organization must be an IRS-certified 501(c)(3).
- Organisations operate as a nonprofit under an umbrella organization, but do not have our own 501(c)(3) status are also eligible to apply.
- organization must demonstrates Druckerʼs definition of innovation: “change that creates a new dimension of performance.
How to Apply?
- Applicants must submit their application through online system.
- The winner will be named in the fall and announced on our website by October 1.
- The winning organization will receive a check before the end of the calendar year.
