The Humanitarian Innovation Fund provides Development Grants for the implementation of an innovation to produce tangible real examples of changed practice, testing the innovation to see how it compares to existing solutions
The fund sees development as a preliminary stage involving initial testing in the field as opposed to implementation which is a more mature phase involving refinements for wider testing and scale readiness.

How to Apply
The application procedure for development grant is a two-stage process:
- Phase1: Expressions of Interest (EoI) must be submitted via HIF’s online grant management system.
- Phase2: Successful applications at this phase will then be invited to submit a full proposal.
