Deadline: ongoing
Do you have a bright idea for a creative solution to humanitarian needs – an innovation that will help save lives in a crisis? Join the HIF (Humanitarian Innovation Fund) webinar on the 19th of August at 13:00 BST when the HIF team will explain their approach to innovation, how to apply, and hear from current and past HIF grantees on their experiences of innovating early on.
Since 2011, the Humanitarian Innovation Fund has supported over 70 projects to bring innovations to life and benefit people affected by natural disasters and conflicts across the globe. In order to support more ideas from a range of humanitarian actors, we’ve re-vamped our Recognition and Invention grants, which is where early-stage innovations begin. HIF Early Stage Innovation grants are designed to support the recognition of a problem and invention of an innovation that will have a significant impact on humanitarian assistance.
These early stages of an innovation are critical to really understand a problem area in depth and invent a solution that can go on to be tested with the aim of positively impacting peoples’ lives. The HIF provides grants of up to £20,000 for the Recognition and Invention projects.
