The APEC Climate Center (APCC) is currently inviting applications from researchers in developing countries to undertake its Training Programme 2015 that aims to providing climate information services and technical support for better regional planning and reduction of economic losses caused by adverse climate conditions.
The APCC training program is a short educational program designed to deal with topics related to climate change for meteorological administration researchers from developing countries.
The purpose of learning about how to use Dynamical Downscaling Model for Regional Prediction, approximately 21 participants from the meteorological administrations in developing countries attended the APCC Training Program 2015.Participants who complete the training program will receive a certificate of completion. The program will be taught by a highly qualified and diverse team of scientists.
The 1-week training program aims to enhance climate change prediction skills by building in-depth understanding of statistical.

Eligibility Criteria
- Target applicants must be Scientists from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in developing countries, preferably APEC economies, ASEAN, Pacific Island Countries working in climate science or a climate-related field Requirements.
- Applicants must be able to enhance their own abilities of climate prediction and capabilities to cope with climate changes through the APCC training program.
- Applicants must have good Oral and written communication skills in English.

- Taking basic statistics course in college/university.
- Applicant must have an understanding on R language and
- Using Programming Language (e.g. FORTRAN and C).
