Key persons in non-governmental organizations, central institutions and local authorities in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Tanzania and Vietnam are invited to participate in 14 months advanced international training of Sida. The objective of the program is to contribute to an integrated sustainable development of coastal zones in which the needs and rights of poor people are taken into account.

The total duration of the training is 14 months beginning on March 2015 till April 2016. The scheduled courses include discussions, group work, role play as well as traditional lectures, seminars and study visits. The participants’ work with the Change Process will be continuously supported by individual mentors through physical meetings and Internet based communication. Sida will cover the program fee, board & lodging and air fare to the scheduled course in phase 4.

- Inception (3 months)
- Course in Sweden (3 weeks)
- Planning for Change (3 months)
- Course in Tanzania (2 weeks)
- Realization (7 months)
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Tanzania and Vietnam are invited to participate. The program is open for applications from other countries with potential and commitment for an integrated sustainable coastal development.
- Only candidates nominated by the appropriate organizations and in accordance with national rules will be considered.
- Applicants must hold a key position in non-governmental organizations, central institutions and local authorities.
- Applicants must have the capacity and interest for driving coastal development.
- Applicants must hold a relevant academic degree.
- Applicants must be available and motivated for active participation through the whole training program.
- Applicants must have proficiency in English language and must undergo a medical examination before filling in the Medical statement in the application form.
- Applicants must have a well-functioning e-mail address, be an active user of e-mail and have regular, reliable access to the Internet.
