Applicants are invited for eight week Training program that is AudioVisual Learning Materials (AVLM) training, this enhance the skills and competences of educational support staff of universities in the South in the field of new educational technologies and the production and integration of interactive learning materials. The goal of the training is to have competent staff members in key places in those universities with a clear vision on policy development, the competences to manage and create interactive learning materials and the ability to organize and develop new learning activities by skillfully using the appropriate technological tools.
The AVLM training focuses on three major themes-
- Instructional Design and Educational Technology
- Production and Integration of Audiovisual and Multimedia Learning Materials
- Policy and Management of Multimedia Support in Education
The training consists of lectures, workshops, seminars, hands-on sessions, individual project work, group discussions, reflection moments and presentations.After the introductory weeks the trainees will have to prepare an individual project proposal on one of the following topics-
- The production of an interactive learning path with audiovisual elements that is immediately useful in their institution, or
- A conceptual design of a multimedia learning environment or digital learning activity
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with basic ICT skills and preferably some preliminary experience in educational technology and the production of audiovisual (learning) materials
- Applicants must have a good written and spoken command in English
- Applicants must have a contract with the university (or equivalent education / research institute or organisation)
- Applicants must be in a position to deliver audiovisual support to staff members at the institute
- Applicants must be currently involved in projects or initiatives in which audiovisual and multimedia learning materials are used or developed
- Applicant must be resident AND national of one of the countries listed in website
- Applicants must not older than 45 years
- Applicants must have the required English proficiency. Applicants need a proof of at least 1 year of comprehensive English-based instruction at a university or recognized equivalent. If not, a TOEFL test is required with a minimum total score of 550 on the paper based test (PBT), or 79 on an internet based test (IBT); or an IELTS test with a minimum overall band score of 6,5; or a proof of another test of similar level as TOEFLE or IELTS
