Journalists from the Pacific region are invited to participate in Multimedia journalism workshop which will be conducted in Nadi/Fiji from October 14 – 25, 2013. The theme of this workshop is Environmental Journalism – Multimedia reporting on climate change in the Pacific.
Benefits-

- Learn how to use multimedia gadgets and blog software journalistically
Documents required-
- The application form (completed, signed and scanned as pdf-file)
- The employer’s declaration (completed, signed and scanned as pdf-file)
- The applicant’s motivation statement (pdf-file or word doc)
- A scanned copy of the applicant’s passport (picture page)
- Two recent work samples related to environmental or climate-change issues (pdf-files or URLs)
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Be citizens of Oceania (Melanesia, Micronesia, Polynesia)
- Work as journalists with 2 – 10 years of professional experience
- Have multimedia experience or show strong interest in multimedia journalism
- Frequently report on environmental or climate change issues or work in current affairs departments or newsrooms (print, radio, TV or web)
- Have excellent knowledge of English. The workshop will be held in English
