CRDF Global is accepting applications from Iraqi scientists and researchers for Iraq Professional Network Building, Training and Exposure Program 2014-15 enrich their scientific knowledge, encounter opportunities to establish new professional contacts, and develop valuable professional skills. The main purpose of the program is to create opportunities and environment for building professional relationships and to encourage exchange between Iraqi biological scientists, researchers, other biosciences experts and the U.S. and international science community.
The grant award is made for up to award up to ten Iraqi public health professionals to travel to the U.S. for 7-14 days to participate in international scientific conferences, pre- and post-conference trainings, workshops and exposure visits to U.S. laboratories.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be Iraqi citizens currently residing and working in Iraq who intend to return to Iraq after completion of the program to share their knowledge and experience with peers.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science or PhD degrees are preferred.
- Applicants must work as a scientist, researcher, epidemiologist or other biosciences expert employed at government operated biological sciences laboratories under the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Agriculture.
- Applicants must be proficient in English.
