One-week Training School is being organized by The Hague Institute for Global Justice on the topic Climate Change Justice: Rule of Law through Good Governance.This training will be conducted 6-10 October 2014. The mission of this training programme is to educate the participants on social science, legal instruments and mechanisms used to prevent and solve climate change and its consequences, such as migration – with a focus on Europe particularly.
Main Focus Areas:
- Current international legal and political standards on Climate Change Justice debate, including human rights consequences with a focus on migration.
- Current policy, rule of law and good governance issues concerning International Organizations, national and local governments, NGOs, CSOs and other agencies who deal and handle issues.
The Training School will be composed of workshops, lectures and seminars in order to apply directly the knowledge acquired during the Training School on practical case studies and current affairs in the area of climate change, human rights, migration and governance.
Required Documents:
- A detailed resume or Curriculum Vitae of no more than 3 pages.
- A 1-2 page letter of motivation indicating why you wish to participate in this Training School.
Eligibility criteria:
- Trainees/students from outside European or from a country are permitted to apply and attend Training Schools but would need to self-finance.
