The three-week International Course on Managing for Impact: An integrated approach to participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation is open for application. This course strengthens the participants’ competency to manage for impact in your own individual sphere of work. Secondly, it helps them play a more effective role in helping the organization manage for impact.
The managers and senior M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation) officers from government offices, (I)NGOs, knowledge institutes, private sector, or consultancy firms are invited to participate in the course.
The course is highly interactive and links the theory and concepts to the experience and expertise of participants. A selection of case studies from participants will be used as material for practice. Active discussions, group assignments, role plays as well as networking are part of the interactive mode of facilitation. Participants will receive individual coaching by peers and course facilitators in translating and adapting course content to an approach that is appropriate and feasible for application back home.
The participants of the three-week training course will –
- Have strengthened your competence to manage for impact in your own individual sphere of work
- Be able to play a more effective role in helping your organization to manage for impact
- Understand principles and practice of strategic thinking and guidance; effective operations monitoring and evaluation for change; change management; interactive processes for people engagement and learning; the learning organization; capacities and conditions for M4I
- Have built up a strategic attitude
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be middle or senior level program manager, staff or consultant with planning and or monitoring & evaluation responsibilities in a business, government or non-government organization.
- Applicants must be willing to make the planning process more relevant, effective and inspiring and help their organization to act and think strategically.
