University of Antwerp is pleased to announce 2013 The international training course Human Rights for Development (HR4DEV), for which the thematic areas will be-
- Human Rights and Development (general) (week 1 and 2)
- Right to health (thematic) (week 3 and 4)
The training programme Human Rights for Development aims at promoting knowledge, insight and skills in the field of human rights (including children’s rights) and at developing young leaders in policy, practice and academia, to enable them to pass on this knowledge and skills to their own society (according to the train-the-trainers model), on the one hand, and to stimulate critical and strategic reflection on the integration of human rights (including children’s rights) in their professional activities, on the other.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Participants to the complete programme (general and thematic part, two modules): higher education (minimum bachelor), by preference social sciences and humanities
- Participants to one part (one module): higher education (minimum master), by preference social sciences and humanities
- minimum two years of relevant professional experience; for PhD students, one year of relevant research experience is sufficient.
- Participants to one part (one module): minimum three years of relevant professional experience
- English proficiency is required
- Participents must be between 25 and 40 years
- Applicants must have Theoretical or practical experience with human rights
