The Laboratory for Animal Production and Animal Product Quality, Department of Animal Production of Ghent University, Belgium is offering International Training Program in Dairy Nutrition. Their main objective and approach is to ‘train the trainer’ in technological aspects of dairy nutrition.
This training program focuses on dairy nutrition and its relation with animal productive and reproductive performance as well as milk composition and quality. With this training program we hope to contribute to the generation, distribution and use of ‘know how’ on dairy nutrition based on locally available feedstuffs, and consequently to a more sustainable rural and overall economic development with this training program.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Have a Master of Science’s degree (MSc) of minimum 2 years with good overall scores from a University or recognized equivalent. Applicants should have basic science training in animal nutrition (cattle, buffalo or goat), veterinary science and/or animal biology, computer science and basic statistics
- Have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied ruminant nutrition
- Have a good command of the English language, proved by either one of the eligible documents-
- TOEFL certificate with minimum total score 550 on paper based test, or a minimum total score of 87 on Internet based test. Test validity is max. 2 years
- IELTS with minimum overall band score of 6.5
- Proof of at least 1 year of comprehensive English based instruction at a University or recognized equivalent
- English as mother tongue
- Have maximum 45 years of age
