All eligible applicants are invited to submit application for course on Landscape leadership : Professionals qualities for entrepreneurial landscapes organized by Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation. This course will be conducted form 16 November 2015 to 27 November 2015. The main purpose of this programme is to bring together stakeholders with conflicting interests; facilitating negotiation processes on access rights and land use; promoting constructive dialogue, and creating collaborative development strategies at landscape level.
Objectives:
- Understand the context, principles and relevance of a multi-functional and multi- level landscape approaches to natural resource management
- Be able to examine the social dynamics in landscapes, including conflicts emerging from overlapping land use, using a range of analytical tools;
- Have strengthened skills to develop and facilitate multi-stakeholder negotiation processes, including participatory planning processes, negotiation and conflict mediation techniques, and tools for informed spatial decision making at landscape level.
- Help applicants to develop a landscape perspective to spatial planning and decision making, which offers new space for negotiation and collaboration, taking into account the needs of local resource users as well as the needs of the global community.
Eligibility criteria:
- Participants need to have several years of professional work experience in the fields of natural resources management, forestry, agriculture, rural development, rural livelihoods, sustainable development or other relevant areas.
- Proficiency in English is required.
