All eligible candidates are invited to participate in 2013 workshop: Research, Training and Cooperation for Sustainable Malaria Control. This program is supported by UNICAM PhD-Programme on Malaria and Human Development, International School of Advanced Studies (SAS) Italian Malaria Network. The purpose of this program is to contributed to a reduction of malaria burden in many countries. This workshop will be conducted in Camerino and Perugia, Italy form 22-26 July 2013.
Issues covered-
- How malaria endemic countries do they cope with these challenges?
- What are the strategies to achieve/maintain full coverage and preserve effectiveness?
- New, unconventional ideas, innovative tools, what’s available in the research & development pipeline?
- “Integrated Vector Control” what does it mean today in 2013?
- Is vector control a gender sensitive issue? What’s the role of social sciences to play?
- What are the needs to improve country tailored malaria control? What are the responsibilities of the malaria researchers community and the tasks of Cooperation Agencies?
Eligibility & Criteria-
The training workshop is targeted to doctoral candidates in biomedical and social science disciplines, working in the field of malaria or who plan to be involved in malaria and health research in their future.
