The Roberto Cimetta Fund (RCF) and the Ministry of Culture of Iraq invite Euro-Arab artists and cultural operators in all the sectors (priority is given to literature, visual art, performing art) to take part in a training session or residency, and attend a seminar or conference. Priority will be given to trips that contribute to cultural development at local level between Iraq and the Balkan countries. Priority art forms are – literature, contemporary performing arts, and visual arts.
The artists who are making an artistic trip after the date of candidacy with an aim to promote cultural diversity in one way or another.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Euro-Arab artists and cultural operators in any (all) art sectors. S/he can be the citizen of any country working and living in Euro-Mediterranean zone.
- Applicants should already have a well-defined art or cultural project.
- Applicants should have chosen a destination that can enrich and develop their project.
- Applicants must be willing to prepare collaborative art and cultural projects.
- Applicants can be of any age.
- The proposed trip must take place after the opening date of the candidency and end by 2017.
- The trip must contribute to cultural development at local level in South or East Mediterranean countries or other countries of the Arab region.
- Applicants can leave or travel to one of the following zones: Middle East, North Africa, the wider Europe.
- One person will be provided up to three (3) travel grants. Applications can not be made for more than thrice by the same person.
- Applicants should have a well-prepared travel plan and chose a destination that can enrich their work in one of the eligible regions (Ile-de-France, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Turkey and Syria.
