IDRH travel grants are intended to offer support for travel to events that applicants would otherwise be unable to attend. These grants will offer around $1000 to faculty and academic staff for travel costs to attend digital humanities conferences, workshops and related events, to present research papers or to develop knowledge of digital humanities tools or topics. Funding is provided through the Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities, a partnership of KU Libraries, the Hall Center for the Humanities, and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
Priority will be given to travel which allows the applicant:
- To give a presentation on a topic which entails digital humanities research
- To attend a digital humanities workshop that will have a direct and demonstrable impact on applicant’s research or teaching activity
- Higher priority is assigned to those presenting a paper or poster
Eligibility for Award:
- Eligibility is limited to KU tenured or tenure-track faculty members (and faculty equivalents) and academic staff.
- Faculty may be funded only once every three years. Application must be received no later than four weeks before travel.
Amount of Award: up to $1000
Deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the allocated funds are spent for the fiscal year.
