Fourteenth Annual Weblog Awards 2014 is now open for nominations. Interested individuals from around the world can nominate weblogs in different categories. After the nomination closes, 200 randomly selected voters receive an invitation to choose the finalists from a list of the most-nominated weblogs in ten random categories. After the finalists selection deadline closes in 16 February 2014, five (or six for Weblog of the Year) weblogs with the most votes become finalists. I will solve any ties for fifth place. Finally in 1 March 2014, the five (or six) finalists are announced and voting reopens till 23 March 2014, for all to choose the winners. Winners will be announced on 31 March 2014 and Weblog of the Year will receive a prize of $2,014.
Rules to Nominate –
- Any pages with dated entries that existed at some point during the year 2013 are eligible.
- One person can submit only one nomination ballot and one finalist ballot.
- E-mail addresses are required to vote.
- In the nomination phase, URLs are required; the applicant’s ballot must contain at least three unique nominees; weblogs may be nominated for multiple categories; nominees must suit the category they are placed in.
- Weblogs may win a category over multiple years a maximum of three times.
