TDFS Asia Young Leaders for democracy program (9-22 august 2015) for NGO Professionals Promoting Democracy and Human Rights in Asia

Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD) invites practitioners and democrats working actively to promote democracy and human rights in Asia to participate in 14 Day long Asia Young Leaders for Democracy (AYLD) program. The program will run from 9- 22 August 2015.
TFD will pay for air travel, accommodation, meals, and visa costs for the duration of the 14-day program for all applicants. Participants will also be given a small stipend in return for submission of a written report on completion of the program.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be working as policy-makers, academics, legal professionals, and leaders of civil society organizations (such as representatives of legal political parties, congressional assistants, non-governmental organizations, the media).
- Applicants must be between the age of 25 to 35; have at least 3 years of full-time working experience and be fluent in English (having a solid command of written and spoken English will allow the participant to fully benefit from participation in the program).
- Applicants must enclose at least two references from organizations or individuals in the field of democracy or human rights.
