Map of Creation, Italy is inviting talented film directors who tell stories through beautiful movies to submit their work, produced during 2012-2013-2014 to participate in the Middle East Now 2014 International Competition. The competition, accepting documentaries, feature films, short and animation films, will award the selected movies on ‘Best Film’ and ‘Best Documentary’ titles. The main purpose of the competition is to highlight the culture and identity of the countries of the Middle East and bring them to the attention of the Italian public, overcoming stereotypes that often come out from the international mass media.
Priority will be given to documentaries and cinema that focuses on the key themes of the contemporary world, as a powerful instrument to approach reality and cultural integration.
Eligibility Criteria –
- The submitted entries must be feature films, documentaries, shorts or animation films produced in 2012-2013-2014.
- Participating entries must be from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.
