All eligible participants are invited to submit short film for film festival in Abu Dhabi supported by Tropfest Arabia. The mission of this program is to establish a sustainable Arabic media and entertainment content creation industry. TROPFEST Arabia’s aim is to contribute to the development of the Arab film industry by providing an opportunity for the region’s filmmakers to bring their short films to the community.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The annual short film competition is open to any citizen of the MENA region who wishes to enter – regardless of their background or experience.
- Film must be made specifically for TROPFEST Arabia 2013
- TROPFEST Arabia 2013 must be film’s first public screening (including online)
- Film must be no longer than seven minutes (including title and end credits)
- Film must contain the TSI – ‘Time’. The TSI can be interpreted any way you choose – be creative!
- Film must be culturally, politically and religious sensitive for Abu Dhabi
- TROPFEST Arabia has been set up in part to encourage young Arabs to enter the dynamic and exciting film industry. For this reason, the Director of applicants film needs to be an Arab national. Other roles (including producer, writer, etc.) may be performed by non-Arabs
