The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is accepting concept papers from qualified applicants. This APS provides prospective applicants with a fair opportunity to develop and submit competitive applications to USAID for potential funding.
The expected total ceiling for all agreements to be awarded under this APS will be approximately US $55 Million with approximately $30 Million in funding from the Office of Population and Reproductive Health (GH/PRH) and $25 Million in field support funding from USAID Missions and other Bureaus.
The purpose of this APS is to publicize the United States Government’s (USG) plan to fund up to three (3) cooperative agreements (hereafter called agreements) for a period of five (5) years each, through the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Washington Global Health Bureau (GH) to address the overarching APS Program Purpose of assuring family planning and population issues are included in policies and programs as key to sustainable and equitable economic growth and development.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for funding, organizations must be:
- US organizations or non-US organizations registered and working in USAID-assisted countries; and
- Academic organizations (universities, professional schools, or two- or four-year colleges, including community colleges), or research institutes, professional societies or similar organizations that are directly associated with research activities
If applicants are expecting to work outside the US, they must be able to demonstrate that they have work experience in more than one country.
How to Apply
All applicants are required to submit a short technical concept paper of no longer than eight (8) pages that is specific, complete, and concise. The concept paper should demonstrate the applicant’s capabilities and expertise with respect to achieving the goals.
