Deadline- March 1, 2012
Countries/Region- Sudan
The Health Systems Strengthening Project will facilitate the implementation of more effective management systems and processes that enable the provision of higher quality health care services and, thus, better health status outcomes.Consistent with the GOSS’ Health Sector Development Plan (HSDP), the program will focus on capacity building at sub-national levels (state and county) in Western and Central Equatoria States. The Health Systems Strengthening Project is expected to coordinate closely with USAID’s investments in health service delivery in the two focus states, as well as central level systems strengthening and policy development efforts supported by the U.S. Government and other stakeholders.
USAID/South Sudan works closely with a number of key partners, and participates in a number of working groups and donor coordination meetings at the national level. While USAID is the prime point of contact for a number of stakeholders at a national level, the Health Systems Strengthening Project will also work closely with key partners to ensure that activities are well aligned and coordinated.
