Deadline- March 20, 2012
Countries/Region- Bangladesh
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) for a five-year Cooperative Agreement titled Justice for All in Bangladesh to promote increased access to justice in Bangladesh. The Justice for All program will address the following key development challenges: lack of confidence in the judicial system; inadequate access to justice; lack of awareness and access to government-funded legal aid; and inadequacy of the legal aid framework. Support for judicial self governance should encourage self-examination by the Judiciary of its performance, priority needs, and aspirations. Such self-examination can provide the basis for a strategic approach to achieving institutional excellence and adherence to core values.
Eligibility-
Applicants must be non-governmental U.S. and non U.S. entities and individuals, otherwise there is no restriction. Entities such as non-profit organizations, profit making concerns, Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs), Public International Organizations (PIOs), faith-based and community organizations, educational institutions, etc. are eligible to apply.
