USAID/Bangladesh seeks Request for Information for making critical investments in biodiversity conservation, diversification of fuel sources, creating enabling environment for low emissions and clean energy development, renewable energy technologies, and strengthening the capacity of environment and energy sector government institutions.
USAID wishes to expand its successes in the environment and natural resources management sector to include an emphasis on wildlife and biodiversity conservation, including, but not limited to tiger conservation and human-wildlife conflict. As such, this Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify Bangladeshi organizations with the appropriate expertise in program management and grant-making (subcontracting) in natural resource management and biodiversity conservation with a specific focus on wildlife conservation.
Eligibility & criteria–
- Qualified Bangladeshi organizations that meet the requirements mentioned in the RFI
- Experience and Qualifications (two pages maximum)- Interested parties should specifically address how they meet each of the points below-
- Proven technical capacity in biodiversity conservation and/or natural resource management, particularly in wildlife conservation, tiger preservation and prevention of wildlife trafficking;
- Expertise in direct implementation of natural resource management or biodiversity conservation projects, with an emphasis on wildlife conservation;
- Capacity and past performance in grant-making and grant-management in the natural resource management and/or biodiversity conservation field;
- Demonstrated experience in managing funding from international donor organizations; and
- Corporate experience in management of over USD $500,000 annual budget.
- Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation (one page maximum)-Qualified organizations are welcome to offer their thoughts on what areas of wildlife and biodiversity conservation are critical for Bangladesh and why.
- Organizational Information (two pages maximum)- Entities responding to this RFI are requested to submit the following information-
- Areas of expertise of the staff
- Prior experience or collaborative development, if any, with USAID, other United States Government, and/or other development partner/international donor activities
- Infrastructure available for oversight of finances, grants and contracts administration, and donor relations;
- Communications and community outreach capabilities
- Experience in intellectual property management, technology transfer, business development, and the oversight of/participation in pre-competitive activities
- Highlight existing and/or potential associations, consortiums and partnerships, as well as regional and global expertise and presence.
