In order to attain the chief aims of President Barack Obama’s global initiatives, the United States has provided funds worth USD 65 million to the government of Nepal. These funds will be utilized to bring improvement in the fields of food, climate change and health services.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is already helping the government of Nepal, with its five-year assistance agreement. The present grant is a part of the same agreement.
According to a US embassy release, the allocated funds will be used by the government of Nepal for various development projects that will help improve the food, climate and health scenarios in Nepal. The funds will primarily help to promote and achieve the three objectives of President Obama’s global initiatives, which are: Feed the Future, Global Climate Change and the Global Health Initiative.
