The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), represented by the Bureau of Latin America and the Caribbean (USAID/LAC), Office of Regional Sustainable Development (RSD) is seeking applications for Regional Workforce Development Program to strengthen the capacity of two- and three-year technical training institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to provide market-relevant quality training to youth from disadvantaged populations for employment.
The ultimate goal of the project is that more young people, especially those from disadvantaged populations, obtain new or better employment. New employment is generally referred to as jobs—be it formal, informal, or self-employment—that are held by young people who previously were unemployed or not active in the labor market.
Award Information
USAID’s LAC/RSD office will award one cooperative agreement. The estimated total amount of the program is $35 million over a five-year period.
Eligibility Information
- USAID anticipates working in Honduras and at least two other countries in the Caribbean and Central America. The other countries may include: Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
- USAID encourages applications from potential new partners. Potential partners include, but are not necessarily limited to: private voluntary organizations, foundations, colleges and universities, civic groups, faith-based and community institutions, private businesses and associations, regional organizations, philanthropic organizations, and advocacy groups.
- USAID will not accept applications from individuals.
- Organizations may submit only one application.
- Applications must be prepared in English.

All applicants must:
- Be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before submitting its application.
- Provide a valid Dun and Bradstreet Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number.
