The British Council Office in Vietnam is currently inviting proposals for Vocational Education Partnership Fund aimed at providing match funding to vocational partnerships between the UK and Vietnam.
British Council office in Vietnam works together with different government departments and agencies to create new opportunities for the people of Vietnam and to share UK expertise with local people in different fields. The Council is running different projects with Vietnamese partners for creating growth opportunities for students, education institutions, and other organizations.
Objectives of the Fund
The fund seeks to provide match funding to vocational partnerships between the UK and Vietnam. These partnerships will develop models of education with clear links to business, and/or building on this through a program of apprenticeships and work-based learning. These models will be used as pilots for General Department of Vocational Training (GDVT) to develop recommendations to scale up these initiatives nationally.
The fund will also seek to further build on the Vietnam – UK vocational partnership which has been facilitated by PMI2 (Prime Minister Initiative 2006 – 2011 which aimed at strategic partnership and alliance).
