World Bank is looking to recruit a highly organized and motivated Client Technologies Associate and is seeking applications from the deserving candidates. Applicants should be capable of operating effectively in a demanding and fast-paced work environment. Job location is Hanoi, Vietnam and the essential languages are English and Vietnamese .
Duties and Responsibilities :
• Provides on-site IT support to clients. Plays as the 1st tier for incident before escalating to 2nd tier. Applies problem solving strategies to evaluate and solve problems effectively. Seeks root causes, identifies recurring issues.
• Manages and monitor escalation request and incident ticket from remedy/helpdesk and provides explanation and action plan on how to fix.
• Works with IMT and IT team leader in maintaining IT network infrastructure equipment including switches, router and satellite equipment. Works with external contractors during renovations or when required.
• Maintains IT facilities, such as desktop and laptop computers, printers, software applications, copiers, telephone systems, audio visual equipment including videoconferencing units, and other information/office technology within the work areas to ensure that all IT-dependent activities continue to function without disruption. Manages user access to LANs, WANs, servers, files and databases. Administers Active Directory related functions such as set up of new profiles on servers, create and update access permissions and system policies.
• Manages IT pool equipment inventory which includes keeping complete and accurate inventory records as well as ensuring proper changes for hardware, software, network, maintenance, IT support, etc.
• Ensures that Bank information and information systems are protected in a manner consistent with Bank information security policy, procedures and standards
• Identifies, initiates, supports and documents procedures and guidelines to improve work processes and methods relating to client services delivery and effective team functioning
• Coordinates plans and schedules the installation and deployment of new images, software/hardware/security upgrades and fixes, and other institutional IT products. Ensures deployment meets client’s expectations.
• Assists with office expansion/renovations/move.
Qualifications and Experience :
1. BA/BS (In computer science or information systems, or professional skills training in systems management)
2. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, particularly in a customer service specialist role.
3. Demonstrates general knowledge of hardware and software products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
