The VlirUOS has issued call for projects 2016 for TEAM and South Initiatives projects. These projects aim at strengthening the research and education capacity by means of generating and exchanging knowledge and contributing to the fight against poverty in the concerned region/country.
Budget Information
VlirUOS reserved a budget of € 5.850.000 for TEAM and South Initiatives projects 2016.
An indicative amount between € 5.100.000 and € 5.400.000 is foreseen for 17 to 18 TEAM projects in 13 countries. The indicative maximum budget for a TEAM project is € 300.000.
An indicative amount between € 450.000 and € 750.000 is foreseen for 6 to max.10 South Initiatives. The indicative maximum budget for a South Initiative project is € 75.000.
South Initiatives Projects – The purpose of a South Initiative is to explore, facilitate and organise new partnerships and innovative forms/ modalities of cooperation that contribute to the proposed country strategic priorities (seed money).
TEAM Projects – TEAM are departmental level cooperation projects of 4 years focusing on specific developmental themes.
Eligible Countries for South Initiative Project – Burundi, DR Congo, Bolivia, India, Kenya, Morocco, Peru and Suriname
Eligible Countries for TEAM Project – Bolivia, Cuba, DRC, Ecuador, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, South Africa
Eligibility Criteria
- The Flemish promoter of a TEAM project must be a ‘ZAP’ member with tenure at a Flemish university or with an equivalent position.
- South Initiatives projects can be submitted by a professor/lecturer with tenure at a Flemish university college.
Full proposals must be submitted to the ICOS of the Flemish university association electronically via email. Proposals should be submitted in English or French (only for DRC, Burundi, Morocco). Proposals are to be submitted by email.
