On popular demand, we are again organizing the Webinar on “How to raise Funds from European Foundations” on December 7, 2011 at 16.00-17:30 GMT / 11.00-12:30 EST at a new time convenient to participants from Western Hemisphere/Americas.
Introduction
In these challenging times, NGO managers and fundraisers are under more pressure than ever to diversify their funding sources. While sources of funding are numerous, identifying viable prospects, and navigating the complexities of applying can be extremely challenging. As a consequence numerous sources are overlooked and NGOs get often discouraged by the complexity of donor’s systems ending up with not even applying for those funds.
While managers of NGOs may accurately realize the importance of fundraising, without thorough knowledge of the donors’ landscape they waste valuable time and money figuring out how the system works. Increased understanding of these different avenues however, can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of fundraising campaigns. This interactive web-based seminar aims to inform managers and fundraisers on types of funding available to them through an introduction to European foundations.
This webinar is a repeat of the previous webinar held on October 20, 2011 – now at a new time convenient for participants in the Western Hemisphere/Americas.
Objectives
The European Foundation webinar will provide basic information on the following topics:
- The European Foundation funding landscape (including an overview of foundations in countries with the largest assets and expenditures, top 10 European foundations by spending)
- Identifying European Foundation funders (including: prospect research strategies, print directories, online resources, foundation centers and directories by country)
- Strategy for Successful proposals (including: fundraising planning for European foundations, communications, international representation)
