Simavi is an international development organisation which aims to empower women in marginalized areas to improve their own health, the health of their families and that of the community they live in. The Organization finances and strengthens local organizations in developing countries and stimulates collaborative ventures between organizations working towards that goal.
Simavi works to improve the health of ten million people by 2020. The Foundation works in vulnerable communities to water, sanitation and hygiene and safe pregnancy and childbirth bringing together communities, businesses and governments – in the countries where it operate and beyond.
