The Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. It is organized by YSA (Youth Service America) and its Global Youth Service Network. It is presently accepting applications from organizations around the world (except the United States) to become Country Partners for the Global Youth Service Day: April 26-28, 2013.
If your organization is providing young people opportunities to be leaders and changemakers of today and if you want to celebrate and highlight the contributions young people are making in their communities round the year, then you can apply for this opportunity.
Country Partners serve as the lead convener and organizer of Global Youth Service Day, April 26-28, 2013, in their country. Country Partners promote GYSD, mobilize partners and local project organizers, lead high profile events, engage local media and government officials, and coordinate project registration and reporting. Country Partners need to be organizations that have the capacity to work and organize on a national scale.
To apply, complete the online application here by the priority deadline of February 1, 2013. Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis through April 1, 2013 for countries without Country Partners selected after the February 1 deadline.
