Apply for Young Professionals Program and become a part of the World Bank

Young people who have both a passion for international development and the potential to become future global leaders, the Young Professionals Program (YPP) of the World Bank is waiting you! Highly qualified and motivated individuals skilled in different areas- economics, finance, education, public health, social sciences, engineering, urban planning, and natural resources management are encouraged to apply to become the young professional.

Timeline

  1. 30 June 2014 – Deadline for application submission
  2. July-November 2014- Candidates Selection on rolling basis
  3. December 2014-January 2015- Candidates’ Interview
  4. February 2015- Selected Candidates sent for final selection
  5. March 2015- Selection of Young Professionals
  6. September 2015- The selected Young Professionals join World Bank

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be 32 years or younger with PhD or Master’s degree and relevant work experience.
  • Applicants must be proficient in English language. Full proficiency in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish is desired but not required to be eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must have specialized in the field relevant to World Bank’s operations (i.e. economics, finance, education, public health, social sciences, engineering, urban planning, and natural resources management).
  • Applicants must have at least 3 years of relevant experience related to professional development or continued academic study at the doctoral level.
  • The applicants must demonstrate commitment to development, proven academic success, professional achievement, and leadership capability.

Note: Applicants who display a commitment and passion for international development, possess outstanding academic credentials, exhibit excellent client engagement and team leadership skills, have international development country experience and are motivated to relocate and undertake country assignments will get high consideration.
