Atlas Corps Fellowship is an opportunity for youth aged 35 or younger to serve in the United States. The fellowship program aims to address critical social issues by developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and promoting innovation through an overseas fellowship of skilled nonprofit professionals.
Fellows are placed in US non-profit organizations for 50-weeks volunteer service. The fellow is offered with living stipend, travel expenses (economy class round trip from and to fellow’s home country and fellowship host city), health insurance, end of service award ($1,000) and visa expenses (reimbursement).
Atlas Corps awards the fellowship thrice a year and applications are considered for next deadline if received after expiration of one deadline.
Timeline –
- 15 July of former year – January Fellowship
- 8 November of former year – May Fellowship
- 22 March of the same year – September Fellowship
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must have 2 or more years of relevant experience in the nonprofit/NGO/social sector.
- Applicants must hold Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Applicants must have English language proficiency.
- Applicants must be 35 years or younger.
- Applicants must be committed to return to her/his home country after the 6-18 month fellowship.
- U.S. citizens are not eligible to apply for the fellowship to serve in the United States.
Complete application includes – completed online application form (submitted via online application system), and two to three letters of recommendation.
