Youths with innovative project idea are invited by AVERT’s for Small Grants Programme 2015. The AVERT will provide up to £10,000 to start-ups for a new activity to complement an existing programme of work being implemented during the 2015 calendar year. Countries invited to participate in the call are Lesotho, Malawi and Swaziland. Priority will be given to proposals from community based organisations which are sustainable and have proven effective in increasing comprehensive knowledge of HIV and AIDS in their community.
The AVERT (AIDS Education & Research Trust) provides financial support and capacity building to a number of partners in countries most affected by the HIV epidemic. It increases comprehensive knowledge about healthy sexual and reproductive lives and also provide grants and technical support to grassroots organizations working to combat the impact of HIV and AIDS among young people.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a registered national not-for-profit, non-governmental or faith-based organization.
- Applicant must be between the ages of 15 and 24 from Lesotho, Malawi or Swaziland.
- Applicants must have a clear and transparent governance system in place with a board of Trustees and audited accounts.
- Applicants must be willing to share their last annual report and audited accounts with AVERT.

Completely filled applications should be sent via email before deadline. Applicants will be informed by 19 December about the status of their proposal.
