The Marlegno Prefabricated Wooden Buildings, in collaboration with the Association of Architects of Bergamo invites graduate students, architects, engineers and designers to participate in the international contest to design prefabricated wooden single family homes. The design must represent the landscape, climate and culture of the country it represents.
The award ceremony will take place on 11 October 2014 at the Conference hall of Marlegno.
Prizes
- EUR5.600,00 – First Place
- EUR2.800,00 – Second Place
- EUR1.400,00 – Third Place
- The first 50 projects will be exhibited at Marlegno exhibition hall until 31 October, 2014.
The winners will have to submit a video presentation of the project in English by 9 October 2014. Those who fail to submit the video presentation will be disqualified and won’t be awarded the prize.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participants can be graduate students, architects, engineers and designers.
- In the project submitted for competition, the total area of approximately 100 square means ‘Gross Internal Area’ that does not include the garage, patios, terraces and others external spaces (pergola, solar greenhouse, balcony).
- The participant might include a descriptive report in document form.
- Participants can’t include any copyrighted materials in the documents of the competition.
Note: The project work consisting of one drawing must be in ISO format A1 vertical. Complete submission materials include- concept; technical drawings , plans, elevations , sections and construction details; and rendering. The files must be in PDF format with maximum 20Mb file size.
