The iLEAP International Fellowship (IF), a long-term investment in community-based leadership in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, invites grass-roots leaders around the globe to apply for cross-cultural and global leadership training program to be held from 20 October to 12 December 2014 in Seattle, Washington, United States.
The training offering a platform for personal reflection and retreat, group learning and dialogue, professional training in partnership, communication, and effective leadership equips the fellows with renewed clarity and commitment to who they are, what they do, and how they can be better leaders of change.
The IF has its connection to the iLEAP Southeast Asia Leadership Initiative. The iLEAP Southeast Asia Leadership Initiative (SALI) is an integrated leadership training and social investment designed to amplify the leadership capacities of the next generation of social leaders in Southeast Asia. The two-week SALI training is held in Seattle every April.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be living and working full time in one or more of the following countries- Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, or the Philippines. Preference will be given to citizens of these countries.
- Applicants must be working in a leadership position in NGO/CBO or socially minded business for at least five years.
- Applicants must be clear of the fellowship scheme and its benefit onn personal growth and social leadership.
- Applicants must demonstrate long-term commitment to the southeast Asia region.
- Applicants must have demonstrated interest in building a network of aligned social leaders in the Southeast Asia region.
- The age bar of applicant is 25-42 years.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
- Applicants must commit to be present in the 8-weeks training program in Seattle.
