TED is a non-profit organization that was established in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. TED is celebrating TEDxYouthDay on November 20, 2011 that is also celebrated as Universal Children’s Day. On this day, TEDx organizers in different parts of the world will host events for young people. These events, which will be conducted by young people themselves, will focus on the common vision of empowering young leaders and igniting new ideas in them.
TED invites people to participate in the creation of introduction video for the TEDxYouthDay 2011.
Participation Guidelines
This introduction video will compile the voices and video footage of many different young people around the world, speaking out a script that was created by TED and the TEDx community.
This video will be shown at all TEDxYouthDay events this year and will serve as a youth-friendly introduction to TED, the TEDx program, and TEDxYouthDay.
Getting Started
– In order to participate, you need to submit a video of a youth speaking out either the first or second half of the video script (all in English) without looking down at the words.
– Before submitting the video, the youth being filmed and a parent or guardian must sign a TEDxYouthDay Video Release.
