Deadline: 14 July 2014
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAC) in collaboration with the Fondazione CRT and the Italian Government invites youth from the Euro-Mediterranean region to participate in a 7-day training program entitled ‘Entrepreneurship Training for Social Change’ to be held from 16-22 October 2014 in Torino, Italy. The training is aimed at enhancing the skills needed to boost a business idea with a social mission, and be a powerful motor of economic development and social inclusion.
This opportunity is open for youth between 18-35 years from the Euro-Med region who already have a social enterprise or have taken steps to start a social enterprise. The program targets young people from communities struggling with tensions or marginalization linked to cultural and/or religious differences and at the start-up phase of their social enterprise which seeks to address these challenges.
Total 20 youth will be selected to participate in the training. Round-trip international airfare, accommodations, meals and visa support will be the additional benefits to the training. Also, they will receive some more technical support:
- Successful peers (other young social entrepreneurs from the region) who would make themselves regularly available – via email – to help address challenges related to day-to-day implementation of their social enterprise.
- International mentors from the corporate sector that would brainstorm with the participants helping them to follow the strategic plan, matching them with potential investors and following the development of their ideas.
