Youth in Action Germany invites applications from voluntary and professional youth workers in select European countries to attend a training program entitled ATOQ Advanced Training On Quality for youth exchanges to be held in Bonn, Germany during January 17 – 22, 2012.
ATOQ is a training course to increase quality within youth exchanges. An international group of youth workers will look back to past experience(s), focus on quality aspects and improve management competences in order to raise quality in future exchanges.
Objectives
The ATOQ training course will provide the participants with opportunities to:
1. Critically reflect upon their previous international youth exchange experience(s) and the impact on young people;
2. Increase the understanding of different quality aspects of youth exchanges such as: active participation of young people , involvement of promoters and stakeholders, diversity and intercultural learning, European dimension and citizenship;
3. Experience a non-formal learning process and understand its importance in youth exchanges;
4. Improve their project management competences ( knowledge, skills and attitudes) in order to better organize the different phases of a youth exchange.
Eligibility
This training course is open for voluntary and professional youth workers, working directly with young people, that organized and/or participated as a team-member in at least one international youth exchange (which is completed) and plan to organize another within the frame of the Youth in Action program.
Participants should be at least 18 years old.

Costs Covered
Board, lodging and program costs will be provided and paid for by the German Youth in Action National Agency.
The travel costs will be paid by the National Youth in Action Agency that will send you.
In some cases National Agencies ask for a participant contribution. Check your National Agency.
