Italian Cooperation

The Directorate General for Development Cooperation under the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs works towards providing international development assistance to the countries. The Directorate works to ensure satisfaction of basic needs, safeguarding human life, enhancing human resources, environmental conservation and implementation of self-reliant developmental processes in developing countries. The Directorate provides both grants and soft loans, guided by its bilateral and multilateral policies with different developing countries. The Directorate has programme presence in the African country of Swaziland, besides working on combating HIV/AIDS.
