This funding opportunity is designed to support networking and association-building among men and women in a variety of fields including academia, private industry, public service and civil society. Activities can include, but are not limited to, networking receptions, working groups, conferences and symposia, media outreach, use of communications technologies, mentorship projects, research and trainings, or any combination of the above.
Applicants should demonstrate that they have or can build the capacity to carry out proposed activities; proposals to establish new associations should demonstrate the linkage between activities and increased membership. The highlight of projects funded under this grant opportunity should be on activities that clearly empower groups and associations in a variety of roles, including advocacy, information-sharing, and collaboration among like organizations. The budget for administrative costs, especially salaries, should be minimal; however, reasonable expenses for equipment, technical support, and staff will be considered.
