8 Mission & vision The vision of R.E.A.D is to build a just, healthy, and happy society based on human values of love, justice, peace, freedom, equality, brotherhood and respect for life, culture, history and nature, at all levels of existence, so that the development of humanity will be derived in the society.
The Mission of Rural Education and Development READ is to restore dignity of the marginalized and disadvantaged sections of the people (Dalit, Tribal, women, children and other disadvantaged groups) who are termed as weaker section of the society through a process of empowerment and education.
10 On going Activities Health activities;
Health activities; Running a Dispensary (Immunization camp, ANC, TBA training, medicine distribution, malaria prevention and control awareness program, HIV/AIDS awareness program, Referrals, water and sanitation programs )
Education activities;
Village education committee meeting, parents and teacher’s association meeting.
Women and children development programs (ECCD & ECE)
Supply of study materials to school going children.
Livelihood activities;
Women self help group formations and training, savings and bank linkages.
Agriculture development and finding alternatives to shift cultivation. Supply of vegetable seeds
Capacity building training and lobby and advocacy;
Panchayat raj training to PRI members and youth, Leadership build up training of youth, awareness training on Govt. schemes especially education, livelihood, health and community development activities through NREGS.
