Electronic waste, or “e-waste,” generated by computers, TVs, cameras, printers, and cell phones, is a growing global issue.
Through the Third International E-Waste Design Competition, participants are asked to explore solutions to both remediate the existing e-waste problem and prevent e-waste generation in the future.
The spirit of the competition is to initiate a dialogue regarding product designs with the industrialized world to ensure eco-friendly green computing as well as entertainment. The major objective of the competition is to learn about method to re-use e-waste for innovative as well as productive means. Actually, the competition explore innovative ideas on how to address e-waste problem as well as contribute to the knowledge which advances the practice of environmentally responsible product design for current as well as future computing technology products.
The competition invites an extensive range of design concepts as well as innovation for technology products which demonstrate fresh approaches and responsible solutions for green computing technologies. Engineering, design, sustainability, or business knowledge will be helpful but not required for success in this competition.
