Kutawato Coalition of Development NGOs, Inc. (KCODE) is a non-government organization providing programs/services to address the pressing dire conditions of communities. It was formed in 2004 (registered 2005)by professionals from academe, human rights advocates, development specialists to respond the needs and working together for durable solutions for social and economic injustices. It has formed partnership and access centrum comprising 11 NGOs as coalition members working in Cotabato City and Maguindanao Province, Philippines.
Vision: : The Kutawato CODE envisions itself to become the Lead Center in Central Mindanao in harnessing NGOs and POs capacities to address poverty.
Mission: The members commit themselves the following mission:
• Resource generation;
• Development of technologies in management and in advocacy;
• Constant linkages with donor organizations, GOs, NGOs, and POs working to alleviate poverty in Central Mindanao;
• Data banking on the poverty situation and experiences in poverty alleviation in Central Mindanao, the rest of the country and abroad;
• Advocacy on a concerted poverty alleviation endeavor as a peace-building strategy.
Programs and Services: Peace and Poverty Alleviation: Institution Building, Client Development and Direct Projects: Education/Literacy, Water, Health/Nutrition, Micro-Enterprise and Micro-Finance.
The goal of the coalition is to become a client – friendly coalition effectively leading NGOs and POs in poverty alleviation in Central Mindanao as indicated by:
1.Reliable sources of funding and competent human
resources ;
2.Operating capability building activities
3.Sustained center of activities that support peace-building;
3.Information Center on the poverty situation in Central
Mindanao, the rest of the Philippines and abroad on
poverty alleviation experiences and best practices ;
4.Network of organizations sharing experiences and best practices to enhance and support each other in helping
alleviate poverty in Central Mindanao;
5.Established mechanisms for advocacy
